The role is responsible for optimizing profit margins in the Tire industry within Vietnam, primarily through the management of a specialized product portfolio and recommendation of technical solutions that align with market requirements. The position leads sales and business development efforts for mold release agents in the tire sector, while maintaining full accountability for revenue and profitability targets.
Key Responsibilities
Define and recommend both short-term and long-term strategies for products and technologies tailored to the tire industry
Propose product improvements and pricing adjustments, especially for low-margin SKUs
Support customers by overseeing product trials and providing technical assistance
Conduct regular client visits to ensure product performance consistency and service quality
Identify new business opportunities among local clients and channel partners
Organize technical seminars and training sessions for both distributors and customers
Monitor industry trends, technological changes, and competitor activity; report findings to leadership
Ensure alignment with global product naming conventions based on local market needs
Build and maintain strong relationships with both current and potential customers of mold release products
Represent the company's commercial interests in Vietnam, including distributor management and field support
Meet or exceed sales objectives to maximize trading profits and growth
Directly manage key customer accounts
Carry out other related tasks as assigned by management
Reporting Line & Collaboration
Internal Collaboration: Regional Sales Directors & Business Development Managers across Asia Pacific
External Collaboration: Key accounts, prospective clients, agents, and local distributors
Job Requirement
Required Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Chemistry or Engineering from a recognized university (or equivalent qualification)
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales, including at least 2 years in a managerial sales capacity
Prior exposure to technical support and marketing within the industrial or chemical sector is preferred
Proficiency in spoken and written English is required; Chinese language skills are a plus
Strong time management, high self-motivation, and proactive initiative are essential
Decision-Making & Problem Solving
This role requires the ability to quickly assess varying customer needs and deploy internal resources (e.g. labs, manufacturing, tech support) accordingly. Many decisions must be made under time constraints without extensive analysis. However, strategic market shifts and competitor developments should be evaluated thoroughly, with decisions significantly impacting business performance.
